A stain that widens on the tile floor
Inch by inch it expands a great distance
creeping to the wall and rolling over itself.

A stain of red
Black in some lights and blue under skin
a stain of red that flows steadily outwards.

Reverse back in on itself
travel the steady line that dries as I speak
footprints and fingerprints of another kind

A gurgle as it travels up the finger to the elbow
hits the shoulder, black and blue
up to the neck, a steady flow there

A stain of red
pumping out from the sunny hue
coming colder and dripping now

The stain of red has expanded
out until it cannot extend anymore
a painting of odd shapes

misshapen body
crooked smile as I breathe
breath hisses taking the last final....
